Immune-based Therapies and Vaccines
The ATAC Immune-based Therapies (IBT) and Vaccines working group is concerned with issues relating to HIV vaccines, immune-based therapies, immunology and HIV pathogenesis.
Mission Statement
1) To enhance the understanding of vaccine- and IBT-related issues in the treatment activist community and promote the involvement of treatment activists in research and policy decision-making processes.
2) To significantly contribute to advocacy efforts to speed the development of effective HIV vaccines and immune-based therapies.
3) To provide an ongoing forum for discussion and dissemination of the latest research in HIV immunology and pathogenesis and to advocate for and support of enhanced efforts to delineate the mechanisms by which HIV causes immunodeficiency.
